Dr. Christina Nannou is an Assistant Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece. Her expertise lies in environmental quality and food safety, focusing on advanced mass spectrometry-based methodologies and innovative sample preparation techniques for both target and non-target analysis to assess the impact of emerging and other contaminants. Her research also encompasses Advanced Oxidation Processes, Chemometrics, and Quality Management. She has authored 43 peer-reviewed journal papers, with >1,700 citations and an h-index of 23 along with two book chapters and one patent. Dr. Nannou has delivered >80 oral and poster presentations at international and national conferences and has participated in 13 research projects. She also serves as an evaluator of research projects for the European Science Foundation (ESF). She teaches undergraduate courses in Analytical, Bioanalytical Chemistry and Instrumental Analysis, as well as postgraduate courses in Advanced Mass Spectrometry, Environmental Analysis, and Environmental Management across three Master's programs.
